Founder of Scottish Women in Sport a charity launched in November 2013 to increase the profile and raise awareness of all areas of women in sport in Scotland, Maureen currently puts all her energies into building up the charity.  

A member of the Scottish Government Women in Sport Advisory Board.  Chair of Scottish Sports Futures an organisation that empowers young people through the power of sport and a Director of the School for Social Entrepreneurs.  

Maureen has been involved in sports administration for over 25 years.  Executive Administrator of Scottish Women’s Football till December 2013, Maureen was the first female Scottish FA Council Member and Non-Professional Game Board member in football in Scotland.  She is the only Scottish FA female life member.

Currently writing a weekly column for The National on women and girls in sport and co-hosting #Letshearitforthegirls - a weekly radio show on Rock Sport Radio.

Maureen is a mother to Gina and Gary and grandmother to Holly, Bethany and Adam.
