Billy Bowie of Billy Bowie Special Projects Ltd is a successful business owner and a director and major shareholder at Kilmarnock Football Club. Billy started his own Tanker Hire and Waste Recycling Company in 1991and the company now possess a set of over 150 trucks and various recycling plant and equipment with over 100 staff nationwide. Since his involvement in Kilmarnock Football Club, the club has seen a successful restructure and been positively transformed and freed of the £9m deficit which allowed the club to start fresh in the 2014 season.

Billy’s appointment saw him invest heavily towards the installation of a 4G, Astro Turf pitch the only one in the Scottish Premiership. The pitch also hosted the first international rugby game to be played on this surface with Scotland v Tonga in 2014. As part of this agreement, Billy also took an ownership stake in the club’s hotel (The Park Hotel), which is a 50 bedroom, 4-star establishment, situated directly opposite the football stadium. His knowledge of commercial property has been a welcome addition to the running of the Hotel as Billy is also a director in Boath Properties, which owns commercial property around the Ayrshire area. Billy also has a strong love of cars and even has a car paint named after him by Rolls Royce as “BILLY BOWIE GOLDEN YELLOW” following his Metallic golden yellow Wraith purchase. His collection also includes 9 vintage trucks, a Ford D Series Fire Engine and 3 Ford F650 Extreme Super trucks, the only ones in the UK.
